Born Manchester, 1961.
Diane is a visual artist based in Galway, Ireland. She qualified from GMIT, Galway with a B.A. in Art and Design (2008) and a B.A.(Hons) in Fine Art (2009).
Diane's work focuses on capturing a distortion of the real, culture and emotions. Many aspects of her work hinge on the theme of ageing, death and beauty. It is said that "time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician". Diane seeks to represent the beauty that is found in unlikely places, from crumbling buildings to decaying bones.
Intimate moments, innocence and mood swings is another occuring theme. It is said that "Young people don't know what age is, and old people forget what youth was”. Diane seeks to capture changes in temperature, feelings and responses observed in the teenage age group.
Diane also holds a degree in Computer Science and has worked for over 20 years in the IT industry.
